Lois Duckworth Obituary

Lois Ann Duckworth, a spirited soul who lived her life with the kind of zest that would put the fieriest bucking bronc to shame, saddled up and rode off into the sunset on April 12, 2025.

Born on April 17, 1956, in Anaconda, MT, she grew up with dirt on her boots, a love for horses in her heart, and a twinkle in her eye that hinted at the adventures to come.

Lois married her soulmate, Wiley Duckworth, and together they embarked on life's journey with unwavering partnership and joy. Their love blossomed into a family with the birth of their children, Jimmie Faye and Wiley "Duke" Duckworth II. The family bond was further strengthened by the close relationships she shared with her sisters, Wadena, Sherri, Pam and Gail, as well as a herd of nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Lois.

Lois's daughter-in-law, Heather Duckworth, quickly learned that to be a part of this clan, one had to be ready for family camping trips and a house perpetually filled with the pitter-patter (and occasional chaos) of dog paws.

Her family grew with the joy of becoming a grandmother to Joseph, Dylan, Madisyn, Zack, and Raylee. Her home was a hub of warmth and hospitality, known for its legendary Sunday dinners, where laughter and stories were shared over lovingly prepared meals.

Lois's spirit will forever be remembered and celebrated by her devoted husband, Wiley; her loving children, Jimmie Faye and Duke, along with his wife Heather; her treasured grandchildren, Joseph Dyar, Dylan Billone, Madisyn, Zack, and Raylee; her caring sisters, Pamela and Gail; and by the many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives she touched.

Lois Ann Duckworth's remarkable ride on this earth may have come to an end, but her story will be told for generations to come, a beautiful narrative of a life well-lived and a woman dearly loved.
