Marc Larimer Bebout, 71, of Cañon City, Colorado, passed away on January 31, 2025. Born on November 4, 1953, in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, Marc moved with his family to Ontario at a young age and later graduated from Chaffey High School in 1972. In 1974, he married Laurie Roche, beginning a life full of love, laughter, and a wonderfully large family.
Marc was the proud father of six children: Ryan, Renee, Nick, Chase, Josh, and Logan. In 1995, he moved to Cañon City with a family of five—and left this Earth with a family that has grown to more than five times the size. He was enormously proud of every one of them and the life they’ve built together.
Marc worked in a variety of roles throughout his life, including as an aircraft mechanic, in retail, and in maintenance, but his true legacy lies in the family he raised and the friendships he formed.
He was known for his boisterous laugh, goofy sense of humor, and matter-of-fact demeanor. He had a great appreciation for music and a never-ending supply of stories about life, family, and songs from the past. He was always ready to sit, visit, and teach others how to play games—especially pool, one of his greatest passions. He played in several local leagues, where he found friendship, competition, and joy.
An unmistakable presence on Main Street and a friendly face to many, Marc’s spirit lives on through the stories he told, the laughter he shared, and the family he adored. He truly lived loud, laughed hard, and loved deeply.
Marc is survived by his brother Duane (Mary) Baker; former wife Laurie (Kevin) McKeever; his children Ryan (Rhonda) Bebout, Renee (Rob) Gutormson, Nick (Christy) Bebout, Chase Bebout, Josh Bebout, and Logan Bebout; his grandchildren Austin and Brandon Robley, Hailey Koonce, Jacob, Masen, Rylee, Landen, Luke Gutormson, and Gavin Bebout; and his great-grandchildren Cyllus, Kalei, Sawyer, and Presley, and Malia.
Marc was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Bebout and Peggy Baker, as well as his brother, Michael, and sister Michelle.
