Nellie was born to Harold and Lena Walker in Vilas, Colorado. She has a sister Joanna Boydstun of Springfield, Colorado. She was preceded in death by a brother Harold Walker, Jr.
Her family was very important to her, and she left a lasting legacy. She was creative, loved to do ceramics, crocheting, painting and other hobbies.
She was married to Roger Casper on June 26, 1952; she was married to John Scavarda on May 2, 1969. Both preceded her in death.
She has 5 children – Dixie (Bill) Reed; Debbie (Jim) Elledge; Frances Masse (deceased); Kevin (Shawn) Casper; Trena Goodwin. She has 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Celebration of Life will be held at the Steeple Event Center 701 Macon Ave, Canon City, Colorado on Friday December 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Viewing will be from 12:00 to 1:00. Interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery following the service. Reception to follow at Steeple Event Center.
