Pamela Sue McCarty Bellamy Johnson, age 80, of Canon City died Tuesday, January 7th at Joni Fair Hospice House.
She was born January 22nd 1944 to Everett W. and Alice F Westwood McCarty. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elbert James Bellamy, infant son Daniel Curtis Bellamy, 2 brothers Kenny McCarty and David McCarty, 2 sisters Karron McCarty Simmons and Sharron McCarty Trundle.
Survivors include her husband Jerry M Johnson of Canon City and many cousins and a host of nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Pamela and Jerry were married in 2015 and lived in Canon City, Colorado where she had dreamed of living since she was a young girl after vacationing there with her family. Both were enthusiastic hikers, belonging to the local hiking club, Canonland Hikers and Walkers and the local geology club. They traveled frequently, visiting and hiking in national parks located throughout the country. Pamela was a very talented artist painting portraits and scenery of places she had visited. Pamela always had a positive outlook, a beautiful smile and a friend to all she met.
