Patricia Cupp Obituary

Patricia Ann Cupp, known as Patty, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was 64 years old.

Patty was born on February 13, 1961, in Canton, Illinois, to Janice Irene Poloney and the late Leslie Allen Wise. She was born into a family with her siblings Clayton Wise (deceased), Theresa Flemming, and Connie Rossignol.

She was the devoted wife of Robert Lee Cupp. Patty and Bobby shared a loving partnership for 36 years, building a life together filled with laughter and deep companionship. Their love was defined by mutual respect, shared joys, and a love that stood the test of time.

Patty was a proud and loving mother to her daughter, Rebecca Luken, and her son, Nick Wheeler. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren, Austin Lambert and Abigail Luken, and her great-grandson, Archie Montana Wayne Lambert — all of whom she adored and cherished deeply.

A high school graduate, Patty was a woman of many passions. She had a deep appreciation for music, movies, and was an enthusiastic football fan. She found peace and creativity in coloring, and joy in fishing trips with family. Patty was also fiercely competitive when playing dominos, always bringing fun and energy to the game. She loved spending time with friends, especially enjoying girls’ nights out. Some of her fondest times were spent gaming with her husband and grandchildren — moments full of laughter, love, and creativity.

Patty will be remembered for her kind heart, quiet strength, and the warmth she brought into every room. Her love for her family was compassionate, and her caring presence will live on in their hearts forever.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date to remember her life and legacy.

As one of her favorite songs once said:

“Time can never mend / The careless whispers of a good friend / To the heart and mind ignorance is kind.” Careless Whisper, Seether’s Cover
