Phillip Lee Roberts, Jr., passed away June 2, 2022. He was born October 20, 1985 to Phillip Lee and Anne (Martin) Roberts, Sr. in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
He graduated from Crestwood High School in Sumter, South Carolina with the class of 2004. A fun loving and adventurous man, Phillip worked at Pizza Hut in Sumter and Canon City before finding his fit in construction. Over the years he worked for Reunion Construction, Diamond B Up To Grade, where he was known as “Ivan, Ivan” and finally at Savage where he worked at the time of his passing.
To know Phillip you understood that he loved his guitar. He even named her “Penelope”. Besides playing his guitar and singing, Phillip loved camping, archery and guns but, more than anything, he loved his children and family.
Phillip is survived by his mother Anne Roberts; the mothers of his children, Shauna Roberts and Victoria Cano; children, Alayna Sterling-Roberts, Phillip Lee Roberts III and Tia “Monster” Breanna Marie Cano; sisters Anne “Keff” Smith (Russell) and Patricia “Cia” Marie Roberts; grandmother Phyllis Anne Martin as well as, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father.
Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 5:00pm at The Steeple Event Center, 701 Macon Ave., Canon City, CO.
