Raymond D Middlemiss Born 10/20/1959 in Canon City, CO to Clifford and Beverly Middlemiss, (Martin). Ray, as he like to be called passed away on 3/11/2023 in Colorado Springs surrounded by his love ones. He is survived by his wife over 17 years Tammy Middlemiss and their three step sons Justin, Josh and Jesse and a step daughter La Nikita. His Mother Beverly, brother Troy (Kelly) Middlemiss sister Tina (Kevin) Gibson, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was proceeded in his death by His father Clifford. Ray in his lifetime broke wild-horses, was an avid hunter, fisher-man, bee keeper, gardener and mountain man. Ray loved all animals. His best stories were of his dogs, especially Smokey and Smooches. Some would say that Ray loved his dogs more than he did people. Ray had many trades to included working the oil rigs in Wyoming, plumbing and then settling down at Portec Interroll in Canon City for the past 35 years, that is where he met his best friend, Tom Harding. Ray will be missed by everyone who ever met him. He will be remembered for his passion for knowledge, creative storytelling and mostly for his big heart, that unfortunately could no longer support his life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in honor of Ray to the Fremont County Human Society, for his love of animals was as big as his heart.
