Richard Raye Hoffecker

On February 25, 2023 Richard R. Hoffecker passed away with his wife and friends by his side.

He was born on March 11, 1946 to William and Dolores (Grace) Hoffecker. He was raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where he met his wife, Ruth Henneberg. They shared 22 wonderful years together.

He served the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department for 26 years, starting as an officer and retiring as a crime analyst in 1993.

Richard and Ruth moved to Westcliffe, Colorado, on September 1, 2016. Richard enjoyed fishing, driving his Jeep on the beautiful mountain passes in the San Juan mountains, as well as spending time outdoors in the Wet and Sangre de Cristo mountain ranges.

Richard is survived by his wife Ruth Henneberg of the home, sons Robert and Andrew (Valerie) Hoffecker, daughter Stephanie (James David Estes) Toppino, sister Nancy (Charlie) Hauber, brother David (Cindy) Hoffecker, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins in the Kansas City, Missouri area.

Richard has chosen cremation with a private memorial service to be held in the San Juan Mountains at a later date.
