Rick Allen Craig

Rick Allen Craig, 50, passed away June 27th, 2021 at his home in Canon City Colorado. Rick was born in Florence Colorado on September 5, 1970 to Duane Craig and Martha Perry. Rick grew up in Canon City and graduated Canon City High School in 1989. Rick married the love of his life Theresa Martinez in June of 1993. Rick and Theresa together welcomed 2 kids Caitlin Craig in May of 1996 and Brandon Craig in November of 2003. Rick was always encouraging to his kids and had his own unique way of teaching them right from wrong with his goofy scenarios.

Rick was a certified welder and spent most of his career welding to support his family. Rick enjoyed making his famous lasagna, spending time with his family geo cashing on the weekends, fishing with his family, kayaking, or hunting with all of the guys. Rick was always the life of the party whether it be using his monkey flashlight to wake up everyone at Elk Camp, trying to order dessert from Dominos in Australia at game night or having a bottle rocket showdown with his cousin in the backyard. Anyone that knew Rick knows that he had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Rick is survived by his spouse Theresa Craig, Kids Caitlin Craig and Brandon Craig, Parents Duane and Kathy Craig, Mom Marti Perry Brother Doug Craig (Rebecca Craig)

Sister in laws Kerry Martinez, Becky Louk (Dave Louk) Mother in law Alberta Martinez, Father in law Johnnie Martinez Niece Shelby Leanne Nephew Eythan Jeffery and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that he would call family.

Rick Is preceded in death by his grandparents Harold and Lilli May Craig  Nicholas (Nick) and Ellen Herniak, Stepdad Kenneth Perry, and nephew Cody Louk.

Services will be held Friday July 2, 2021 at Mountain View Community Church 200 Justice Center Road in Canon City Colorado at 10:00am. A celebration of life will follow at the Craig Residence.
