Ruth J. Brown-Miles passed away unexpectedly March 17th at the age of 85. She will be missed by everyone she knew. Ruth has touched so many of us and enriched everyone dearly. She is survived by her children Mabel (Larry) Bogeart of Leadville, CO and Peter DeShong of Canon City, CO. Her Grandchildren Mark Bogeart, Robert Basham, Crystal Bogeart, Vince DeShong and Ty DeShong. Ruth is also survived by her brothers Bill and Paul Brown and Sister Lois Cota, Cousin Mark (Marilyn) Kolstedt along with many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her Bingo Family and one she considered as a grandson Ethan Girard.
She is preceded in death and welcomed by her Parents John and Dorothy Brown, sons Duane and Roger Thurk. Grandson Jack Bogeart and husbands Howard DeShong, Frank Leibl and Duane Miles along with her niece Janet.
Ruth enjoyed caring for her animals and the time she spent at the dog shows, the tractor pulls and playing Bingo. Graveside services will be held sometime in May or early June.
