Shirley A Rees

Shirley Anne Rees joined hands with her Lord and Savior on November 11, 2020.  She was born December 31, 1934 in Wichita, Kansas and was adopted by Thelford and Ruby Thacker Cobb of Meade, Kansas.  She graduated from high school in Meade and attended the Wichita Business College. 
 
On June 10, 1952, Shirley was united in marriage to Paul Rees at Bentonville, Arkansas.  Throughout the years she worked as an accountant, hospital ward clerk and deputy county treasurer.  Paul and Shirley lived in Kansas for many years before moving to Canon City, Colorado in 2012.
 
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.  She is survived by sons Mike Rees (Linda) of Dodge City, Kansas and Doug Rees (Jane) of Colorado Springs, and daughter Pam Carl of Canon City, eight grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
 
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Meade, Kansas.
