Theresa "Terry" Lynn Sochovka

Theresa “Terry” Lynn Sochovka, 74 of Canon City passed away on May 8, 2022. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 24, 1947, and was adopted by loving parents Harold, and Ester Johnson.

She spent most of her life in Colorado, a graduate of Cheyenne Mountain High School. She went by Terry and some of her happiest moments were feeding and serving people in her restaurant in Cripple Creek, Terry’s Café, she worked at Mr. Ed’s in Canon City. She loved to party and travel with friends. Most of all she loved her family and for years was our foundation. She was married twice in her life first to Larry Martin for a year. Then she married the love of her life in 1972 Joe Sochovka, they were married for 25 years. After that, she had a lifelong partner, Loyd Harmon.

She is survived by her children: Theresa Taylor, and Cory Sochovka, her brother Randy (Christy) Johnson all of Canon City; her brothers: Tom, Mike, and Tim Juntunen; sisters: Mary King and Ann Skaar all from Minnesota; Grandkids: Lacie, Tina, and Hailey Taylor of Canon City; Preston (Candice) Sochovka of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Meghan Danielle of Ridgeland, South Carolina; Taylor (Paige) Sochovka of AF Base, Germany; Kami Harmon of Canon City; nine great grandchildren.

Terry was preceded in death by both birth, and adopted parents, her best friend Jennifer Jordon, Joe Sochovka, Loyd Harmon.

We will have a celebration of life at her home on June 25, 11:00 a.m. Potluck with burritos smothered in green chili. 456 Glenmoor Rd. Canon City, CO. 81212.
