Timothy Stockowitz Obituary

Timothy W Stockowitz, age 61, passed away peacefullly with his Soulmate Jill by his side on 12/3/2024, at The Joni Fair Hospice House in Pueblo, Colorado following a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

He was born on October 7, 1963, in Merrill, WI, to James Stockowitz and Susan Hehling.  He grew up in the Wausau, WI area and attended DC Everest High School.  In 2011, Tim & Jill relocated to Canon City, Colorado, to escape the humidity & cold, harsh winters.

He spent his lifetime as a self-taught Mechanic and could fix anything put in front of him.  He recently worked at Bravo Engines & Transmission and prior to that, was a long-time employee of Royal Gorge Auto Care & Towing. Motorcycles and the mountains were his two biggest passions from building his own Rat-Rod (which only he could ride) to exploring and going on adventures in his Jeep, collecting bones for his “ bone garden.” When he wasn’t out on one of his crazy adventures you could find him in his back yard tending to his garden which consisted of roses, sunflowers and well you know.  In the background, of course, The Blues playing loudly!  He loved his Wisconsin Peeps and never missed a year of JackPine Jamboree, riding to and from Wisc/Colo on his motorcycle.

Tim is survived by his Soulmate Jill Roma (his Angel) who never left his side thru his End-of-Life journey; two sisters, Tammy Gottschalk (John Ballschmieder), Theresa (Wayne) Wilmes; a son Timothy J Stockowitz (Brittany Manderfield), daughter Kasi Stockowitz (Marcus Amundson), daughter Sable (Josh) Barrett, daughter Jessica Buck, step-daughter Michelle Roma and step-son Tony (Sabrina) Roma, along with several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother (Susan), stepfather (Karl), father (James), grandparents and niece (Siarra Detert).

Tim, “A Legend in his own Time” will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will be remembered by his adventurous spirit, and his willingness to help others.  Rest Easy Tim and keep riding!

We would like to Thank all of the Staff at Sangre de Christo Hospice and The Joni Fair Hospice House for making Tim comfortable during his End-of-Life Journey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
