Vera K Graham

Vera K. Graham, 100, of Florence, CO, ended her earthly journey May 11, 2022.

She was born August 5, 1921 to Steven and Marie (Bruni) Cortesi in the old mining town of Radiant, which was located a few miles from Coal Creek, Colorado and lived her full century of life in Fremont County.

Vera married David “Dye” Graham, the love of her life and together raised two children, David Graham and Stephanie (Graham) Rocchio.

She loved the Colorado Rockies and taking trips to Cripple Creek, however, more than anything Vera loved her family.  Vera loved being surrounded by family and friends and always wanted to be in the mix of things; she craved having people around her.  She never turned anyone away if they needed help or simply needed a shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen.  She loved people!

Vera leaves to cherish her memory; her son David Graham of Florence; granddaughter’s Nicol and Erin, great-granddaughter’s Naomi and Aliviah as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dye, daughter Stephanie Rocchio and dear friends Louis “Midgie” and Jeanette Angone.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, June 9, 2022 at Union Highland Cemetery, Florence, CO.
