Walter “ Walt “ Thomas Wollman, husband, father, grandfather, passed away on May 28th, 2024, after a quick battle with cancer. Walt was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on February 27th, 1961. He was the third of five children of John and Sheila (Osborne) Wollman. After attending Florence High School, Walt served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force.
Walt married Shelli Williams, the love of his life, in 1987 and together raised two children. Walt was a certified miner, working in both coal and gold mines before finishing his career with Holcim Cement. He also enjoyed being a motorcycle instructor teaching hundreds of people how to ride. He was very active in his children’s lives and was proud to have coached his son’s baseball team. Anyone who knew Walt knew he was so full of love and life and understood he was an avid motorcycle lover. Whether he was on his Harley with his wife & friends or on the mountain trails with his family. Walt loved his children and grand-children, and nothing gave him more satisfaction than spending his time with his friends & family on adventures. He was everybody’s best friend.
Walt is survived by Shelli, his wife of 38 years, children, Brandi (Chace) Archer, Erikk Wollman; grandchildren, Journey and Justice Archer; siblings, Cathy (Steve) Jacoby, John Wollman, Dennis Wollman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents and sister, Adele Fox.
A celebration of life will be held at 11am on Friday, June 7th, 2024, at The Steeple Event Center, 701 Macon Avenue, Canon City, Colorado, 81212.
