Jean L. Pittman

Jean Louise (Bowen) Pittman passed away peacefully Monday, February 1, 2016 at her home in Florence, Colorado. She was born May 17, 1932, in Waco, Nebraska, daughter of Willard and Lula Bowen. She was predeceased by her parents and loving husband, Robert E Pittman. She was a loving wife to Robert Pittman and mother to her children Lisa and Scott. As an Army wife, she lived in France, Norway and traveled throughout Europe, also living in many states in the US; sharing her gifts and talents wherever she went.  As a member of the First Methodist church of Florence, she was active in many facets of the church, where she was the principal pianist for many years. As a talented and gifted pianist, she touched many lives and brought them closer to their own talents. She was fun, creative, talented, and a was a kind, generous and true friend. She is loved by so many and will be missed by all those who knew her. Hers was a life well lived. Jean is survived by her children, daughter Lisa Pittman of Dover, New Hampshire, son Scott Pittman, daughter-in-law Margee Coyle Pittman of Vero Beach, Florida, sisters Doris Price of Aurora, Colorado, Artemis Kirkpatrick of Cody, Wyoming, nieces and nephews Bill (Sheri) Price and Susan Price of Aurora, Mark (Cathy) Kirkpatrick of Ryegate, Montana and Mike (Rebeca) Kirkpatrick of El Paso, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in her name to the Canon City Humane Society.  May God Bless You and Keep You.
