Diane Andrews

September 2, 1949 ~ July 8, 2016 (age 66) 66 Years Old


Born in Hayden, CO, to David George Hutton and Francis Marie (Roope) Hutton of Craig, CO.   At the age of two Diane moved to Canon City CO, with her parents were she attended primary and secondary school, graduating from Canon City High School in 1967.

Diane married Timothy  D. Andrews on June 15, 1968 in Canon City and they moved to Castle Rock, CO where she worked with her husband.  After her husband joined the Navy she moved to Chicago, IL, and Rota, Spain to be with him.

Diane was very active in her community, serving as a Cub Scout leader, on the PTO for Harrison Grade School, then as president of the Canon City High School band boosters club. In 1988 she headed up the fundraising to send the full band to Old Mexico and then once again in 1990 she took on the job of doing the fundraising to buy new uniforms. The CCHS Band got to wear the new uniforms for the 1991 Canon City Blossom Festival.

Diane also served on the Canon City Blossom Festival Committee and the Christmas parade committee. She was in a clown group and had the name of Jingles doing face painting and having fun with many kids.

Diane returned to Canon City in 1970 and worked for the Canon City Daily Record. Once her husband returned from the service, Diane worked for both the Andrews Funeral Home and Mountain Vale Memorial Park.

She is survived by her loving husband and friend Tim Andrews as well as her brothers David Thomas Hutton (Kathy), of Casper, WY, and Kevin Lee Hutton (Sheri Leonard Hutton), of Coaldale, CO;  by Children and grandchildren Mark Andrews and his children Levi, Eion, Timothy and Cassandra. Michael Andrews and his children are Alex and Kody.  Megan Andrews Konty(M. Gabriel Konty); and their children are Devin (Jasmine), Andre’, Victoria, Jarid and Jordan. As well as brothers- and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded her in death by her mother and father and sister Karin Ray Hutton.

Visitation at 9:00 A.M., with Funeral Service starting at 10:00 A.M., both to be held at the Evangelical Free Church, 3000 E. Main Street, Canon City, CO.
