Donna Hernandez, 75, passed away peacefully November 23, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. In the weeks leading up to her passing she was surrounded by her family at her home in Canon City, CO. Donna was born in Wray, CO. She married the love of her life, John Hernandez Jr. Their 58 year marriage was formed in love and bound together by their devotion to each other. She was blessed with six children, seventeen grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Donna's greatest joy came from spending her life with John, caring for her children and being Nana to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Donna will be remembered for her love and caring for her husband - John, children - Robin, Todd, Kelly, Christie, Tracy and Scott, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will forever be in the hearts of her loving family and friends and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Donna Hernandez to St Jude Children's Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/ A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, December 1 at 11 am at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 10th and College, Canon City, CO, with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
