I had the privilege of working with John at the Engineering Research Center at Colorado State University for a number of years in the late 70's and early 80's. I've been wondering what happened to him and Liz when I drive by their house on Swallow Road in Fort Collins because I haven't seen a light on in the house for quite a while. I'm originally from Canon City and had several family members in the Skyline Ridge Nursing home and am very familiar with it. The staff there provided good care to my grandmother and father-in=law. Our parents have all passed on so we don't visit Canon City very often anymore. I had a very high regard for John when working with him but our paths seldom crossed after he retired. I remember how much he enjoyed going to the Elks Lodge and his love for the game of golf. His face always lit up when talking abou Liz. My deepest sympathy for your loss. Debbie Smith

Many great memories of John from Mountain Vista Golf Course. He will be missed. Sorry for your loss. Great picture of John, just the way he was always smiling.
