Gale Ann Esch departed this life on May 01, 2017 while surrounded by her family.  Gale was born June 21, 1943 to George and Thelma Polster of Colorado Springs.  She met Thomas Esch, the love of her life and they were married in 1970.  Gale was gifted with an extraordinary talent and loved to draw with colored pencils; wildlife, cartoons and caricatures. Her drawings were sought by many and especially adored by her children who always wanted her to draw them more.  Gale spent many of her married years residing in the mountain town of Alma, Colorado, a gorgeous place near the base of Hoosier Pass.  She was very passionate in her faith with the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior!  She loved her family and served them beyond words.  She touched so many people and was involved in so many lives. She loved to spend time with her family on jeep outings, viewing wildlife and exploring God’s beauty of the Colorado Mountains.  She had a special gift gardening flowers and plants, they seemed to have conversation with her.  She also loved feeding many different types of birds, especially humming birds; was a fan of gold panning and she found her share.  She loved and spent countless hours preparing full meals for friends and neighbors in need as well as all kinds of baked goodies, always having them on hand for those who often stopped to visit.  She always enjoyed staying very busy by keeping her surroundings neat, clean & tidy. Gale worked for Whitco Jeep Top Supply Company and while residing in Alma, CO., worked as a bookkeeper for Gately Motors and served as Town Clerk.

Gale is survived by her husband of 47 years, Tom Esch; her daughter Christina Woodward, her two (2) sons, Spencer Esch and Marcus (Kimberly) Woodward, sisters, Patricia (Gene) Hale, Judy Vogt and Carol Triggs.   She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter LaNae’ Woodward.  One of Gale’s final unselfish acts of kindness was to donate her body to the Colorado State Anatomical Board at the University of Colorado School of Medicine to better medical research and cure. (At Gale’s request, no services will be held.) Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home. Condolences are welcomed online at Harwoodfunerals.com.
