Owner/Funeral Director
Lloyd Harwood is a Funeral Director and the owner of Harwood Funeral Home. His passion for Fremont County started at childhood. Lloyd grew up in Penrose and Florence Colorado and is a proud graduate of Florence High School. After working as a Funeral Director in El Paso and Fremont counties for a number of years, Lloyd recognized that he had a true love for the business. He knew that being able to help families through a very difficult time was extremely fulfilling for him personally. Lloyd also saw an unmet need in the community, and decided to embark on the journey of opening his own funeral home. One where quality service was top priority. Lloyd's knowledge, expertise, and spirit of service have helped to make Harwood Funeral Home a leader within the communities we serve. Aside from his business, Lloyd enjoys being an active member in Fremont County. Past experience includes being a Board member for the Fremont County Tourism Council, along with serving as a Board Member for the Fremont Civic Theatre. He is also actively involved in education and is currently serving on the School Board for Canon City RE-1 school district.

Sarah joined the Harwood team with a profound commitment to serving families with dignity and grace. A caregiver at heart, Sarah spent over 10 years in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), providing compassionate care to patients and families in Pueblo, Colorado and Tallahassee, Florida. This decade of service instilled in her a deep understanding of the reverence required when caring for a loved one. Building on this foundation of service, Sarah recently founded her own last-responder transport business, Sacred Trust Transport, ensuring that every individual in her care is treated with the highest level of respect from the very first moment. She takes great pride in being a steady, quiet source of support for local families during their most difficult transitions.
Above all, Sarah is deeply family-oriented. When not serving the community, she can usually be found on adventures with family, working on creative arts and crafts projects, or relaxing with her beloved pets. For Sarah, family-both her own and those she serves-is what matters most.
