Barbara Ann (Conkright) DeWolfe, 71, of Penrose, CO, formerly of northern Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home on Nov 6, 2015. Her wishes were to be cremated.

She was born in Midland, Michigan on March 27th, 1944 to Floyd and Maxine Conkright. When she was very young her family moved to Boyne City, Michigan where she would spend summers with her grandma Wilson and her cousins. Barb lived in northern Michigan for many years until she moved to Colorado in 1994.

She was very creative and loved arts and crafts, and often times sparked the creative and artistic side of her grandchildren while doing crafts with them. She loved antiques and especially liked cobalt blue glass. She enjoyed bowling and softball and participated in them for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her children, family, friends, and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed telling stories and sharing memories from the past, and was the glue that bound her family together and will be sadly missed by all whose life she touched.

She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, James DeWolfe. Her children Lori Carochi, Ben (Debi) Blackmore, and Tim (Emily) DeGiuli. Grand-children Christina (Robert) Moore, Stephanie Blackmore, Gina, Angelina, and Dominic Carochi, Abby Johnson, Jarod Ward (Kari Velandria), and Alaina and Mary VanderMark. Great-grandchildren Lilianna Moore, Derrick Johnson, Gavin Velandria, and Ryder Ward. Sister Linda (Conkright) Lovett, brothers Butch (Pam) Conkright, and Richard (Jan) Conkright. As well as many nieces and nephews.

She joins her sister Janet (Conkright) Parsons, father Floyd Conkright, mother Maxine (Wilson) Conkright, and her in-laws law Doris and William Rudolph along with many relatives and friends in heaven. The family will have a remembrance of her life at her daughter Lori’s home on Saturday November 14th in Pueblo West, Colorado.  Those unable to participate in the remembrance will be able to do so via skype online.  Arrangements entrusted to Harwood Funeral Home.
