A husband, a father and a grandfather. Ben gained his wings on March 18 in Canon City at home surrounded by all his loved ones. Ben was born July 8, 1947 to Ben and Delecia Abila in Redwing, Colorado. Ben joined the US Army on November 28, 1969 serving time deployed in Germany. After 3 years he was honorably discharged. He loved fishing and hunting as well as riding his Harley. But there was nothing he loved more than his friends and family. His son Joe and daughters Tammy and Laura Lynn. 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His 4 siblings Rose Pitney, Darlene Bilyeu, Larry Abila and Robert  Abila.
